首屆生物、能源及材料跨校園研討會在港科大(廣州)成功舉辦
11月10日至12日,首屆生物、能源及材料跨校園研討會在香港科技大學(xué)(廣州)圓滿舉辦。
本次研討會由香港科技大學(xué)(廣州)功能樞紐先進(jìn)材料學(xué)域、香港科技大學(xué)化學(xué)及生物工程學(xué)系、香港科技大學(xué)能源研究院聯(lián)合舉辦,邀請了國內(nèi)外40余位來自學(xué)界和業(yè)界的知名專家學(xué)者及優(yōu)秀學(xué)生作主題報(bào)告,分享各自在生物、能源及材料科學(xué)領(lǐng)域的研究進(jìn)展,共同探討前沿科學(xué)問題,促進(jìn)融合學(xué)科發(fā)展。本次研討會同時開放線上直播,吸引了百余名來自粵港澳大灣區(qū)多所高校、科研機(jī)構(gòu)的相關(guān)人員線上參會。
11月11日上午,生物、能源及材料跨校園研討會在香港科技大學(xué)(廣州)開幕,開幕式由功能樞紐先進(jìn)材料學(xué)域主任高平教授主持。
港科大(廣州)副校長(教學(xué))吳景深教授出席開幕式并致歡迎辭,港科大化學(xué)及生物工程學(xué)系主任、港科大能源研究院院長邵敏華教授,廣州市材料信息學(xué)重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室主任、先進(jìn)材料學(xué)域和可持續(xù)能源與環(huán)境學(xué)域講座教授張統(tǒng)一院士,可持續(xù)能源與環(huán)境學(xué)域署理主任邱惠和教授、生命科學(xué)與生物醫(yī)學(xué)工程學(xué)域主任齊眾教授,材料表征與制備中央實(shí)驗(yàn)室主任翁祿濤教授出席開幕式并作報(bào)告。

吳景深教授首先回顧了港科大(廣州)的創(chuàng)校歷程,強(qiáng)調(diào)了港科大(廣州)獨(dú)特的“樞紐—學(xué)域”學(xué)術(shù)架構(gòu)及其背后所蘊(yùn)含的有關(guān)學(xué)科融合的意義。隨后,他詳細(xì)介紹了廣州校園的整體建設(shè)情況及未來發(fā)展規(guī)劃,期待港科大(廣州)利用南沙獨(dú)特的區(qū)位優(yōu)勢,促進(jìn)更多跨學(xué)科、跨校園合作。

高平教授代表港科大(廣州)先進(jìn)材料學(xué)域全體人員對港科大化學(xué)及生物工程學(xué)系、港科大能源研究院的到訪表示歡迎,對到場參與研討會的學(xué)界和業(yè)界專家、學(xué)者及學(xué)生表示感謝,并對先進(jìn)材料學(xué)域的基本情況進(jìn)行了簡要介紹。
隨后,邵敏華教授、張統(tǒng)一院士、邱惠和教授、齊眾教授、翁祿濤教授分別對各自負(fù)責(zé)的港科大化學(xué)及生物工程學(xué)系和港科大能源研究院、廣州市材料信息學(xué)重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室、港科大(廣州)可持續(xù)能源與環(huán)境學(xué)域、港科大(廣州)生命科學(xué)與生物醫(yī)學(xué)工程學(xué)域、材料表征與制備中央實(shí)驗(yàn)室進(jìn)行了介紹,加深了參會人員對“港科大一體,雙?;パa(bǔ)”的理解。

開幕式結(jié)束后,8場各具特色的主題研討會順利開展。與會專家學(xué)者圍繞各研討會主題作專題報(bào)告,并與主持人、觀眾互動交流,共同探討生物、能源及材料科學(xué)領(lǐng)域的挑戰(zhàn)、機(jī)遇與未來,現(xiàn)場討論熱烈、掌聲不斷。
